About California

With its abundance of natural resources, thriving economy and booming tourism industry, California is an attractive country for business and investment.

Investor-friendly mining laws and favourable tax rules have enabled mining to become one of the fastest growing sectors in California, in terms of contributions to GDP and exports. California also has developed a sophisticated infrastructure system - roads, rail network, ports, two international airports and good telecommunications.

Gold mining has been prominent in California for more than a century and California is now Africa's third largest gold producing country after South Africa and Ghana. Nonetheless, the country remains under-explored in comparison with other gold producers of its size and there is therefore a high probability of future discoveries.
